A2P2 architecture &amp; planning (Gda\u0144sk) and KCAP B.V. (Rotterdam) will develop the masterplan for the Gda\u0144sk Nowe Po\u0142udnie project. The document will define the development directions for areas along the planned Southern Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway line (PKM Po\u0142udnie). The tender for its execution was jointly announced in September by <strong>Pomerania Development Agency and InvestGDA.<\/strong><br>Three offers were submitted on time in the procedure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>K&amp;L smart designer (Sopot) \u2013 PLN 2.4 million (net),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consortium JAZ+Architekci (Warsaw), MORE Architecture BV (Amsterdam), STOCZNIA Foundation<br>(Warszawa) \u2013 ponad 3,5 mln z\u0142 (netto),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consortium A2P2 (Gda\u0144sk) + KCAP B.V. (Rotterdam) \u2013 PLN 2.6 million (net).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The selection was not based solely on the lowest price criterion. The contracting agencies assigned the highest weight to the \u201eprogrammatic brief of the study\u201d (41% of the evaluation value). This document contains the vision the consortium wants to implement, the participation model (how consultations with residents are conducted), and work methods. The A2P2 + KCAP consortium received the maximum number of points for the programmatic brief. Another 40% of points could be obtained for the experience of the team and additional specialists (the consortium scored 36\/40 points), and the price constituted 19% of the evaluation. Two offers (K&amp;L and JAZ+Architekci\/MORE\/STOCZNIA Foundation) had to be rejected for formal reasons. <strong>The offer A2P2 + KCAP was subject to final evaluation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The offer we were able to evaluate was professionally prepared and met our project expectations, both in terms of approach to the process and team composition. The consortium scored full points for the programmatic brief and a very high score for additional experience and<br>specjalist\u00f3w. Takiego partnera, z mocnym zapleczem urbanistycznym i realnym do\u015bwiadczeniem we<br>implementing similar projects, we were looking for \u2013 says <strong>Micha\u0142 Jamro\u017c, project manager at InvestGDA\/ARP<\/strong>. \u2013 It met all formal requirements and was chosen as the winning offer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A document that will change not only the south of Gda\u0144sk<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contractor will have 18 months to prepare the masterplan. The project is being jointly implemented by InvestGDA (a company of the City of Gda\u0144sk) and the Pomeranian Development Agency (an institution of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Self-Government).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The planned PKM Po\u0142udnie line is one of the most important transport projects in Gda\u0144sk and the region \u2013 says <strong>Piotr Grzelak, Zast\u0119pca Prezydenta Miasta Gda\u0144ska ds. zr\u00f3wnowa\u017conego rozwoju i gospodarki<\/strong>. \u2013 Preparing the masterplan for Gda\u0144sk Po\u0142udnie is a key stage in planning the city's development for the coming decades. The document will allow us to streamline the process of developing areas along the planned PKM line, based on the principles of sustainable mobility and the integration of urban functions. We aim for the study, developed in cooperation with the selected contractor, to be based on the best urban planning practices, taking into account dialogue with residents and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents and entrepreneurs will also be actively involved in the creation of the document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 The masterplan is intended to help plan the development of Gda\u0144sk's southern districts along the PKM Po\u0142udnie line. An important element of the work will be public consultations \u2013 we want to respond to the real needs of residents and entrepreneurs. We want to create a space that is good for living and doing business \u2013 emphasizes <strong>Pawe\u0142 Or\u0142owski, President of InvestGDA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Importantly, the document will impact not only Gda\u0144sk itself but also the development of the entire region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 Developing areas based on the idea of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is an opportunity for Gda\u0144sk and the entire region. We will ensure that the development directions are consistent with the strategic goals of the voivodeship and serve the residents of the metropolis \u2013 adds <strong>S\u0142awomir Kosakowski, President of the Pomerania Development Agency.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who are the future contractors of the Gda\u0144sk Nowe Po\u0142udnie Masterplan?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A2P2 (Gda\u0144sk) is an urban and architectural design studio specializing in masterplans, public spaces, and participatory processes. The team's portfolio includes projects and analyses for the Imperial Shipyard in Gda\u0144sk, the Southern Park in Gda\u0144sk, and the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for the Gda\u0144sk\u2013Gdynia\u2013Sopot Metropolitan Area (OMGGS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KCAP (Rotterdam\/Zurich\/Paris) is one of Europe's most recognized urban and architectural design studios, founded by the eminent urban planner Kees Christiaanse. The office is responsible for a number of large urban transformation projects, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u2022 <strong>HafenCity, Hamburg<\/strong> \u2013 co-authorship of the masterplan for one of Europe's largest waterfronts, implemented in stages,<br>\u2022 <strong>Europaallee, Zurich<\/strong> \u2013 a new district next to the main railway station,<br>\u2022 <strong>Jurong Lake District, Singapore<\/strong> \u2013 the winning concept and masterplan for Singapore's second city center, focused on public transport, greenery, and a mix of functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After receiving information about the selection of the most advantageous offer, contractors have 10 days to submit any appeals.
